A spectacular start of the Aragonese Way from the Somport pass (1,640m) on the French border. Continuous descent through the Aragón valley among beech and pine forests. Pass through Canfranc and its abandoned international station, a modernist jewel. Jaca was the first capital of the Kingdom of Aragon, with an 11th-century Romanesque cathedral.
